Cappadocia is filled with a mystical essance and is a miracle of nature. The Cappadocia region was created through millions of years of natural erosion. It is a must see if your are in Turkey. Among the volcanic tuff mounds are orchards being worked and caves that are still lived in or used for livestock as centuries before. Cappadoca is waiting to be explored by travellers that have the time to appreciate what it has to offer. Cappadocia takes its meaning from the Hitites, "Land of Horses". They ran wild at one time but later moved to the mountians as modern civilization forced them to higher ground. The volcanic mountains that caused the formations of the Cappadocian region centuries before are, Erciyes, Hasan & Melendez Mountians. Erciyes being the tallest and host a ski resort for the winter months. The best known sites of Cappadocia are Ihlara Valley in which you can hike into and walk along side a small river while visiting the rock cut churches that are carved into the canyon walls, Derinkuyu & Kaymakli are underground cities (caverns) which were constructed by the Christians for use during invasions. Derinkuyu is 6 stories and Kaymakli is 8 stories. Zelve monastery, Goreme Open air Museum, Cavusin, Uchisar & Ortahisar should also be seen. They are all unique and will leave you with a sense of wonder & awe. Cappadocia has something for everyone, be it searching the caves of the underground cities or flying high on a bright sunny morning over the canyons. Take a horse ride or a trekking tour and experience the nature first hand.
Daily tours of the regions are plentiful along with Horse Riding, Hiking, Hot Air Ballooning, Trekking Tours, Motor Cycle & Bicycle rentals, all of which we can make arrangements for upon your request.
